POSITION SUMMARY:

The Harts HVAC Service Expert is responsible for diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems while guiding customers to informed and confident buying decisions using the Harts service process. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and achieving sales goals.

JOB PARAMETERS:

The HVAC Service Expert position is a full time, commission position, with shifts typically occurring Monday through Friday. Shifts will vary within the hours of 6:30am and 6:00pm. Commission-Based teammates earn between 2%-18% per project subtotal with expected earnings between $52,000-$125,000 per year.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service Calls: Complete HVAC and related in-home service calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Use of Technology: Skillfully use mobile phones, office messaging systems, iPads, and industry software for communication and job management.
  • Inspections: Complete whole home evaluations to ensure systems have been thoroughly inspected.
  • Proposal Development: Evaluate customer HVAC situations, develop multi-option proposals/estimates, and present them to customers using the Harts service process; provide various Harts service offerings.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Work with customers to ensure a thorough understanding of estimates and conduct follow-up calls as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Maintain close communication with install coordinators, dispatch, and customer service representatives to optimize the customer experience.
  • KPI Performance: Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales and revenue goals, HCPs, yard signs,close rate and recall reductions.
  • Sales and Revenue Accountability: Meet or exceed service sales and revenue goals through quality work and strong customer relationships.
  • Apprentice Training: Educate and provide guidance to apprentices, as requested.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure assigned vehicle is clean and assess for hazards or necessary repairs.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the team and enhance service delivery.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:

  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC Service.
  • EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) required; NATE certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales.
  • Ability to inspire and lead others to achieve company goals.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quick, sound decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
  • Build trust and show empathy with customers.
  • Ability to operate or quickly learn various communication systems and tools.
  • Diagnose issues and provide effective solutions to customer problems.
